Dennis Protsouk: Bridging Generations of Artistry
Born in Ventspils, Latvia, in 1987, Dennis Protsouk entered the world amidst the fading backdrop of the Soviet Union—a time of transition and cultural flux. Raised within the hallowed halls of the Repin Art Academy in St. Petersburg, Dennis was immersed in the art world from birth. His father, Andrei Protsouk, was completing his Ph.D. in Fine Art Painting (awarded the prestigious Red Diploma) when Dennis was introduced to a life steeped in creativity. Growing up as the only child of two dedicated artists, he began painting from a very young age, nurtured by an environment where art was both a passion and a legacy.
In 1994, the Protsouk family moved to the United States, where Andrei established himself as a renowned artist, celebrated for his mastery of European painting techniques. Dennis, in turn, became his father's apprentice, absorbing the rich traditions of Spanish and Italian art while cultivating his unique voice. As Dennis developed his own style, his work diverged from his father's precise and controlled approach, favoring instead a more expressive interpretation that serves as a social commentary on contemporary life.
Dennis’s work explores modern themes through a dynamic lens, bridging the past with the present, and infusing classical techniques with fresh perspectives. Alongside his artistic endeavors, Dennis is also an accomplished art entrepreneur. He manages Andrei Art Gallery and Studio in Stroudsburg, PA, where he represents his father's works while also promoting his own. A graduate of the Fox School of Business at Temple University with a B.A. in International Business and Marketing, Dennis blends his creative passions with his professional skills, continuously pushing boundaries both in the studio and the gallery space.
Always open to new commissions and ventures, Dennis offers a range of unique originals and limited editions of his work, inviting collectors to join in his journey of artistic exploration.
